CAC CONDEMNS THE BRUTAL MURDER OF COLLEAGUE

 

The Consumer Affairs Commission (CAC), and its Board of Directors have extended condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of Mr. Pedro Hodges, Director of Research, Communication and Information, who was murdered at his home on Sunday, June 1, 2003.

In condemning his brutal murder, Chief Executive Officer of the Consumer Affairs Commission, Angella Manning said, “his sudden death has left the Agency’s staff in a state of deep shock, regret and sorrow. We are outraged at the ongoing wanton and demonic destruction of innocent lives and property that is taking place by ruthless elements, who have no respect for law and order”.

Mr. Hodges made an invaluable contribution to the work of the Commission during his tenure with the Agency and was a man of vision, initiative, commitment and passion. He will be greatly missed, and will be remembered as an educated, talented and reliable young Jamaican.

The Board of Directors is calling upon all persons with information on this violent crime to contact the relevant authorities so that the perpetrators can be apprehended and brought to immediate justice.
