Processed Food Act 1959

Food Manufacturing and Processing Operations Must be Registered

It is an offence to operate an establishment in which food is manufactured or processed for export or sale unless the Director of the Bureau of Standards has registered such an establishment. Consumers and commercial purchasers too, should be on the lookout for the certificate of registration which, under the law, must be prominently displayed. Breach of the above can cause the offending party to be fined or jailed.
